Mr. Emmitt Ray Pippin, 68, of Lithonia, Ga. died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004.

He was born in Geneva, Ala., son of the late Inonia Rivenbark and Clyde Lewis Pippin. He served his country in the U.S. Marines from 1954 to 1957. Mr. Pippin was a school bus driver for Henry County School System. He enjoyed fishing and NASCAR.

A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30 in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Randal Lane officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include his children, Ray and Andrea Pippin of McDonough, Rena and Randal Lane of Hampton, Steven Ray Pippin of Hartford, Ala., Tonya Blakeney of Geneva, Ala., and Teresa Thompson of Crestview, Fla.; sisters, Virginia Ann Holly of Pensacola, Fla. and Mary C. Smith of Daleville, Ala.; stepmother, Esther Pippin of Daleville, Ala.; former wife, Linda Pippin of McDonough; 11 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
