The McDonough Veterans Information and Referral Office is located on the first floor of McDonough City Hall, at 136 Keys Ferry St., to assist area veterans and their families. The office is staffed by volunteers, and is open on Tuesdays, from 10 a.m., until noon, and Thursdays, from 1 to 3 p.m.

The Henry County NAACP meets on the second Tuesday of each month, from 7 p.m., to 8 p.m., at Shiloh Baptist Church, 262 Macon St., in McDonough.
