Two men remained behind bars at the Henry County Jail Thursday, for allegedly stealing items from a McDonough apartment. A third man was arrested for allegedly receiving merchandise from the burglary.

Cameron Denzel Johnson, and Timothy Jrahmond Royal, are accused of breaking into an apartment at the Trees of Avalon complex, located at 2014 Avalon Parkway, according to McDonough Detective J. McCaslin.

The burglary occurred between 7:30 a.m., and 4 p.m., on April 18, at one of the units inside the apartment complex, according to police.

McCaslin said Royal, of Hampton, and Johnson, of McDonough, took weapons, electronic equipment, and clothing.

On Sunday, McDonough police arrested and charged Royal, 26, and Johnson, 17, with the burglary.

Tyrone Keenan Holmes, Jr., 21, was arrested Monday and charged with theft by receiving stolen property.

McDonough Police Detective Sergeant R. Gardner said the Criminal Investigation Division, the Special Response Team, and the Uniformed Patrol Division, worked around the clock to apprehend the suspects.

“The victim in the case was proactive in providing valuable leads to the police department, which allowed us in turn to utilize several investigative strategies, that led to the arrest of the offenders as well as the recovery of thousands of dollars worth of stolen property,” said Gardner.

Holmes and Royal appeared before Henry County Magistrate Court Judge Robert Godwin on Tuesday. Godwin set a $1,050 bond for Holmes and a $25,000 bond for Royal.

Johnson appeared before Godwin the following day in magistrate court. The judge set a $25,000 bond for Johnson.
