Albert “Bert” Eugene Whitten, Jr., 45 of Newnan, passed away at home on Aug. 8, 2012.
Bert was a 1985 graduate of Morrow High School, worked for Atlanta Scales, Inc. and was a member of Mills Chapel Baptist Church.
Bert is survived by his parents, Albert “Al” Eugene, Sr. and Jean (Stacks) Whitten; sisters, Vickie (David) Stewart, Donna (Steven) Provost and his brother, Mark (Victoria) Whitten; nieces and nephews; Daree (Steven) Johnson, Kira (David) Hodge, Jonah Whitten, Noah Whitten, Isabella Whitten, Natalie (Michael) Miles and Jackie Norris; great-nephews; Wesley White, Lee Miles; Uncle Homer (Gherardi) Stacks and Aunt Pat (Bucky) Mitchell. Cousins, Terry Stacks, Andy Stacks and Ryan Stacks, Chris Mitchell, Scott Mitchell and Sandy Scott.

Pallbearers for the service will be Homer Stacks, Terry Stacks, Andy Stacks, Ryan Stacks, Curtis Tucker and Steven Pike.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Aug. 10, at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, at 11 a.m. at Mills Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan.
