Hubert “ Doc” Latimer, age 90, of Covington passed away on July 11, 2012. Doc is predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Doris Latimer. He was a member of Baptist Tabernanacle Church. Doc retired from General Motors after 30 years of service, and he also was a WWII Veteran with the 81st Wildcat Division CoD., 322 Regiment. Doc loved to play gospel music on his mandolin and loved his church.
He is survived by his 3 three sons, Robert and his wife Delane Latimer, Harold and his wife Denise ( Peaches) Latimer, Tim and his wife Sonia Latimer, 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Lucile McLeod, and Bobbie Baxter.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Service Conyers Chapel, 1999, Hwy 138 SE., Conyers, Ga., 30013, at 11a.m. with the Rev. Glen Anderson, the Rev. Roger Prillhart and the Rev. David Moody officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
