Mr. Robert Joseph Naddra, age 51 of Sugar Hill, passed away July 11, 2012. He was born in Atlanta to Angelan Betty Chotas Naddra and the late Robert Vernon Naddra. Rob graduated from Tucker High School, Class of 1978 and from Georgia State with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. Rob was the Editor of the DeKalb Champion News. He was a member of the DeKalb Leadership Program and attended Epiphany Lutheran Church in Suwanee. He enjoyed sports writing, travel writing, was a music buff and had recently picked up golf again. Above all, he was a family man.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Laird Naddra; daughters, Alex, Kelsey and Bethany; mother, Angie Naddra of Roswell; sisters, Christi Naddra of Marietta and Cindy Smith of Roswell; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 1 p.m. from the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fayetteville. Dr. Justin Kollmeyer will officiate. Interment will follow at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family Saturday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
