Danny Lunsford, 61, of McDonough, Ga., passed away July 22, 2012.  Danny was born in Griffin, the son of the late Hugh Slaton and Laura Virginia Wilkerson Lunsford.  He was also preceded in death by brothers, Johnny and Tony Lunsford.  Danny enjoyed spending time with family and friends and watching his grandchildren in all of their activities. He graduated from Henry County High School, Class of 1968.  He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.  Danny worked as an insurance agent with the Georgia Farm Bureau for 23 years. He enjoyed karaoke and playing golf.  Danny never met a stranger, or anyone with whom, he could not make conversation. 

Survivors are his wife of 39 plus years, Debbie Lunsford, of McDonough; children, Bryant Powell (Pascha), of Locust Grove, Mike Lunsford (Tonya), of McDonough and Michelle Lunsford of McDonough; grandchildren, Brad, Matthew, Marissa, Slaton, Skylar, Chris, Isabella and Bransen; sister, Jeanette Norsworthy, of Jackson; brother, Russell Lunsford, of McDonough; several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service for Danny will be Thursday, July 26, from 11 a.m., in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Jeff Wilder officiating. Interment will follow at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park.  For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Autism Speaks, or Sacred Journey Hospice.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 p.m, to 4 p.m., and 6 p.m, to 8 p.m. Haisten Funeral Home – McDonough 770-914-8833 haistenfunerals.com is in charge of arrangements.
