Samantha Pendley Delong Kirby

Samantha Pendley Delong Kirby, 46, of McDonough, passed away June 11, 2012. She leaves behind her husband, Marion Blane Kirby; children, Cody Lyle Delong, Anthony Delong, Josh Delong, Leah Cash, Rebekah Kirby and Micah Kirby; two adored grandchildren, Noah Ray Cash and Anna Rose Cash; sister, Syndi Pendley and brother, Brad Pendley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brad and Virginia Gallagher Pendley. Sam, as everyone knew her, loved life and it was apparent to anyone who was fortunate enough to cross her path. She also loved people. She had a warmth that radiated even the coldest heart. Most importantly, Sam loved her family and her Lord Jesus Christ. She was a woman who realized the blessings in the midst of the storm. She was a devoted wife, mom, friend and Mimi to her grandchildren. Sam was genuine in being herself and in that she made you feel comfortable to be yourself around her. She was a person who loved a good conversation and you always had such a conversation when you spoke to her. Sam was the most loving and supportive wife one could imagine. She modeled true love every day in how she cared for and loved her husband. Sam was the person who was always about town either finding a good deal or lending a helping hand. She found life in every day. Her untimely death leaves a void no words can fill. Her contagious smile, her distinctive giggle and her loving eyes will never be replaced. The loss we feel here is Heaven’s gain.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 15, at 11 a.m., from the Henry Baptist Church. The Rev. Archie Norman will officiate. Interment will follow at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. To Blane, Cody and all of the family,

Sam was a amazing woman that I have always enjoyed being around. She was the most kind hearted, greatest mom, loving wife, always smiling and laughing and never had a bad word to say about anyone! I have been a part of her family for 13 years with having Cody as my kids brother. My heart goes out to all of yall as mine is broken also! I will continue to pray for the family and that we can all get some closure on this terrible accident. I love each and every one of you! Blane you have always been a rock for your family and I know you will alway miss your loving wife! It was alway a blessing seeing the two of you together and the way that yall always had respect for each other and would always be laughing and cutting up! I can only imagine the pain you are going through with the loss of you wife and best friend!

With Love and a Broken Heart,

Marcus Reitzammer
