Mrs. Marie Collins Pendley, 85, of McDonough, passed away June 15, 2012. She was born in College Park, to the late William Leonard and Dora Lee Keys Collins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Jackson Pendley, and by siblings, Troy Collins, Bessie Riley, Bill Collins, Dorothy Simmons and Earl Collins. “Mopsie,” as she was known to her family, was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed gardening, cooking and traveling.
Survivors include her children, Linda (Tony) Dunaway, of McDonough, Bill (Tracy) Ogle, of Covington; Kandy Pendley, of McDonough; Danny (Cathy) Pendley, of McDonough; nine grandchildren, including Christina Marie Ogle, beloved and devoted granddaughter and caregiver, and four great-grandchildren; siblings, Charlotte Dowdy, of Hampton, Vernell (Sonny) Sellers, of Stockbridge, Ilene Tarpley, of Washington state; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted Thursday, June 21, at 5 p.m., from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Pastor Robert Morris will officiate. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service.
