Gerald “Jerry” Contos, 75, of Stockbridge, died Monday, May 28, 2012. He was born in Detroit, to the late Jacob Joseph and Maria Josphine Siciliano Contos. Jerry was an active member of St. James The Apostle Catholic Church. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Mary Polly Contos, Stockbridge; daughters, Brenda Maria (Russell) Watford, Lawrenceville, Jennifer Ann (Chuck) Drake, Conyers, Deborah Lynn Contos, Statesboro; siblings, David John Contos, Apopka, Fla., Gloria Jean Towler, Ypsilanti, Mich., Theresa Ann (Bob) Nolan, Ypsilanti; grandchildren, Jake Watford, Leah Watford, Olivia Drake, Andrew Drake, and Caleb Contos.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday, June 1, at St. James The Apostle Catholic Church with Father James Flanagan officiating. Interment will follow Mercy Meal & Reception at 1 p.m. at Flippen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 31, from 5 p.m., to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
