Here is a list of some of the top high school football performances from last week’s games:
Malik Bryan, Stockbridge: The junior running back rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries in the Tigers’ 31-7 win at Eagle’s Landing.
Derrick Craine, Union Grove: Craine rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries in the Wolverines’ 21-7 victory over Ola.
Cameron Gordon, Stockbridge: The junior had nine total tackles, including seven solo tackles, in the Tigers’ win at Eagle’s Landing.
Andrus Guillen, Stockbridge: A week after hitting the game-winning field goal to upset Griffin, the Tigers kicker was at it again making 3-of-4 field goals and going 2 for 2 on extra points. Guillen made field goals from 41, 41 and 22 yards out.
Caleb Ham, Union Grove: The junior wide receiver was Wolverines quarterback Jonathan Slade’s favorite target Friday, finishing with three catches for 49 yards and a touchdown in Union Grove’s win over Ola.
Jared Hendricks, Luella: The senior quarterback completed 7 of 9 passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns in a Region 2-AAAAAA win over Druid Hills. His 78 percent completion percentage is the third-best in a single game in school history.
Donovahn Jones, Dutchtown: The senior quarterback rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries and threw for 123 yards and a touchdown on 9-of-16 passing in the Bulldogs’ 40-37 loss at Locust Grove.
Tevin Jones, Luella: The Georgia State commitment had seven tackles, including two tackles for loss in a win over Druid Hills. He also had a half sack and three pass break-ups in the Region 2-AAAAAA victory. The defensive end return a blocked punt for a touchdown.
Cortez McDowell, Locust Grove: The junior wide receiver/safety had seven receptions for 165 yards and three touchdowns in a 40-37 subregion win over Dutchtown.
Andrew Roberts, Luella: The senior kicker set a new school record by making all seven of his extra-point attempts in a region win over Druid Hills. He also averaged 52.8 yards per kickoff on eight kickoffs.
Jonathan Slade, Union Grove: Slade, a sophomore quarterback, was 5-for-9 passing for 60 yards and a touchdown in the Wolverines’ win against Ola.
Gabe Smith, Luella: The senior running back had eight carries for 30 yards and a touchdown. He eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for his career with his performance on Friday against Druid Hills. On defense, the linebacker had 10 tackles and returned a fumble recovery for a 27-yard touchdown.
Jordan Spruill, Strong Rock: The running back had 143 yards of total offense and two touchdowns in the Patriots’ 33-14 loss to Pace Academy. Spruill rushed for 92 yards and a score on 22 carries and caught a 50-yard touchdown pass.
Miles Vaughn, Union Grove: Vaughn, a sophomore running back, rushed for 70 yards on just eight carries for the Wolverines in their win over Ola.
Keenan Wise, Locust Grove: The quarterback passed for 185 yards and three touchdowns on 9 of 19 passes in a win over Dutchtown. He also rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.
