VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: Woodland extends streak to 22 games

COLLEGE PARK — The Lady Wolfpack volleyball team cruised to two victories Tuesday night on the road in an Area 4-AAAA tri-match at North Clayton.

With the wins, Woodland remained perfect at 22-0 overall and 6-0 in the area to remain one game ahead of Jonesboro in the standings.

The No. 3-ranked Lady Wolfpack got a 25-9, 25-13 victory over North Clayton, then handled Eagle’s Landing in a 25-13, 25-21 win.

Woodland returns to action Thursday. It will host Ola and Strong Rock Christian as the Lady Wolfpack will celebrate Senior Night.

Ola can’t take down Whitewater

The Lady Mustangs lost to top-ranked and Area 4-AAAAA foe Whitewater at McIntosh.

Ola, which is ranked No. 8 in Class AAAAA, lost 25-8, 25-10 to a Lady Wildcats team that is 30-1.

Ola fell to 20-5 overall and 6-2 in the area.

Locust Grove loses crucial area match

JONESBORO — The Lady Wildcats started strong but couldn’t sustain their momentum in a critical loss to Jonesboro in an Area 4-AAAA match on the road.

Locust Grove lost in three games, 25-8, 21-25, 20-25.

Union Grove falls to Starr’s Mill

The Lady Wolverines lost in two games, 15-25, 14-25, to Starr’s Mill in an Area 4-AAAAA match on the road.

Union Grove fell to 18-9 overall and 5-3 in the area.
