James E. Brown, 81, of McDonough, Ga., died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012. He was born in McDonough, Ga., to the late Alfred Lee and Ethel Pearlie Salter Brown. Mr. Brown was a member of Flippen United Methodist Church.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 57 years Belle Brown; daughters, Rita (Rick) Aspinwall, Griffin, Ga., and Sharon (Chris) Hand, McDonough, Ga.; sister, Grace Slauson, McDonough, Ga.; granddaughters, Ashley (Matt) Brown, Ackworth, Ga., and Katie Hand, McDonough, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Hudson and Ryan Brown and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at Flippen United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary DeMore and Rev. Travis Sneed officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
