STOCKBRIDGE — Henry County police Wednesday released a photo of a car occupied by two men wanted in connection with the shooting of a third.
Sgt. Joey Smith said the shooting victim is recovering from surgery at Atlanta Medical Center. The male was shot in the stomach but is expected to survive, said police. Smith declined to release his name, citing the ongoing investigation.
Smith released a photo Wednesday of a tan Chevrolet Impala occupied by the two suspects. Police are also trying to identify suspects, described only as two black males.
Smith said the shooting was deliberate.
“This was not a random incident,” he said. “The victim and associates had met the suspects in the parking lot of the location and shots were fired after a dispute.”
The shooting happened Tuesday about 2 p.m. at the Wal-Mart on North Henry Boulevard in Stockbridge.
Anyone with information on the suspects or vehicle is encouraged to contact Henry County police.
