ELHS ranks in ‘Best High School’ report

McDONOUGH — Eagle's Landing High School has been named to a list of Best High Schools by U.S. News and World Report.

The school ranked 20th in the state and 1,179th nationally.

It earned the report's silver award for high-performing schools.

Eagle's Landing was named a 2013 Advanced Placement Access and Support School by the Georgia Department of Education. It is the sixth consecutive honor.

The high school also earned a spot on the Washington Post's 2013 America's Most Challenging Schools for a third consecutive placement on the list. The school ranked 915 nationally.

Eagle’s Landing also boasts of having one of the state’s top teachers.

English/language arts teacher Barbara Rosolino is a finalist for Georgia Teacher of the Year.
