LOCUST GROVE — Council members took the city’s business out of the city today.
The city council conducted a five-hour special-called meeting during an annual retreat in Snellville Monday — 54.9 miles from the council’s regular meeting chambers in City Hall.
Items on the agenda included an executive session to discuss personnel items, as well as public items including budget amendments for the first quarter of fiscal year 2013, public works operations and possible new SPLOST projects.
Also Monday, the council will meet at 7 p.m. at Locust Grove City Hall for a monthly workshop, according to the city’s website, but none of the items up for discussion at the earlier meeting — aside from the budget amendments — appears on the agenda for the second meeting.
City Manager Tim Young did not answer a request for comment Monday.
