McDONOUGH — The Henry County Commission put the brakes on the city of Stockbridge’s efforts to annex unincorporated “islands” into the city limits Tuesday.
Residents of the area complained there was a lack of transparency in what they called the “forced annexation” of 77 properties.
County Commissioner Reid Bowman said he was opposed to annexation.
“I’m not going to go down without at least expressing my opinion on it,” he said.
