There are many choices one has to make as we travel down the road of life. When we are very young our parents make most choices for us, but the wise mother and father teaches their children to make right choices. Even at the early age of 1 or 2 they allow their children to choose which book they will read to them or which toy they want to play with. As they grow older they are encouraged to share their toys with other children, to be polite and fair.
The home is the foundation of life, love and morals. It’s where we learn how to live, how to treat others, how to get along with parents, siblings and playmates, how to tell the truth and be honest. Fortunate is the home that has a mother and father who determine to make their home a place of love and learning, a home of nurture and security as well as a place that builds character and responsibility. This is not an easy environment to build for it requires hard work and dedication to accomplish, but the result of investing time and effort in the upbringing of our children is well worth the effort. We will be pleased that our children are showing love and respect to their parents and others, and exhibiting good manners and social skills. They have good study habits and get along well in school, they realize the importance of education and have ambitions of finishing college or gaining skills that will support their lifestyles.
