I greatly appreciate this song and its message. It’s called “Higher Ground,” and the first stanza says, “I’m pressing on the upward way, new heights I’m gaining everyday. Still praying as I onward bound, Lord plant my feet on higher ground.”
Strikes me, that’s a good thought and prayer for all Americans as we continue the journey in the political process of electing a president to lead our nation. As the recent assassination attempt on the life of former President Trump revealed, this political process has reached a new low. A continuous harping on and focusing on character flaws rather than promoting sound vision often produces dire consequences, such as we have recently experienced.
