STOCKBRIDGE — Mark Allen Goode Jr. recently earned the distinction of Eagle Scout, the highest recognition that Scouting offers to Scouts.
Goode was recognized for his achievements at a Scout Court of Honor held at at Community Bible Church. For his Eagle Scout project, Goode constructed benches that were donated to the church. His vision for the benches was to provide seating for church events and to benefit church outreach events. Materials for the benches were donated by BMC Building Materials & Construction Solutions and Home Depot.
Goode began his Scouting career in second grade as a Wolf Cub and continued through the ranks, earning 36 merit badges and serving in several leadership roles and positions of responsibility, including quarter master, assistant senior patrol leader and senior patrol leader.
Goode is the son of Mark Goode Sr. and Shelley Goode. He is a rising sophomore at Luella High School where he plays basketball, runs track and plays the saxophone in the marching and concert bands. He attends and volunteers at Community Bible Church.
