During the warm weather, fresh fruits from the garden are a delicious treat. Though you can purchase them from stores, the ones picked from the plant are fresher and generally taste better. Some are easy to grow in the home landscape and produce abundantly once established and given proper care. All require full sun and well-drained soil.

Blueberries are native to Georgia and are popular with homeowners. Another requirement is acidic soil since they have a higher iron requirement than many other plants, and the element is more plant available to uptake when the pH is lower.
