The harsh weather this year has taken its toll on our home landscapes. Dry conditions and extreme heat cause them to deteriorate. However, some simple tasks can improve and reinvigorate your lawns and gardens.

First, remove dead and dying plant material. Cut dead limbs off where they branch off the main plant. Many people try to nurture plants in decline to get them to recover. However, if most of the plant is dead, remove it.
