The New England Patriots have lost two days of organized team activities for a violation of offseason rules, ESPN reported Wednesday night.

The Patriots announced earlier Wednesday that Thursday's OTA session -- the first to be attended by media this offseason -- has been canceled. The team declined to comment on the reason for the cancellation.
