Historic Locust Grove homes seek preservation

A Locust Grove property owner wants to preserve three historic homes on her property that she intends to sell to a prospective developer. The developer plans to demolish the buildings if they remain on the property.

The homes are located across from Locust Grove City Hall at 3550, 3570 and 3590 Ga. Highway 42. Property owner Kathy Sims offered to donate them to the city of Locust Grove to be placed on city property in an effort to save the historic homes from being demolished.
