Authorities urge caution when using fireworks

McDONOUGH — The Henry County Fire Department expects the number of consumers using fireworks this July 4 to reach an all-time high.

Consumer fireworks cause thousands of burns and eye injuries each year, and new laws governing the use of fireworks raise concerns on behalf of the consumer, the HCFD, stated in a press release.
