Babies born on September 11th survive and strive

According to the Centers for Disease Control, Cooper and more than 13,000 other babies were born on September 11, 2001. Now, as they prepare to celebrate their 20th birthdays, Cooper Goldsberry says he tries to separate his birthday from this deadly date.

PLANO, Texas (KTVT) -- As terrible as it sounds, the most horrific day in American history also happens to be the happiest day for some people.

“I was in a hospital in labor, and it was definitely, you know, you always remember that day,” says Connie Goldsberry. “You always remember the day you’re giving birth to your kids, but it was doubly unique.”
