McDONOUGH— A new organization in McDonough is hoping to reduce the teen pregnancy rate in Henry County, which ranked 34 out of 159 counties in Georgia with pregnancies between the ages of 15 and 19.

“It’s sad because 8.3 percent is the (Henry County’s) population of that age group,” said Chastity House Executive Director Dr. Kai Ashby. “That is staggering. That’s a small number to have that many teen pregnancies. We have a real big issue here with teen pregnancy and we’ve been overlooked apparently.”
