McDONOUGH — After a recent threat from a property owner to put a pig farm on her property, District 4 Commissioner Blake Prince said he will be lobbying for a change in the county’s zoning regulations.

Henry County commissioners denied a request Dec. 15 that would have rezoned the property owner’s 41-acre East Lake Road property from (RA) residential-agricultural to (R-4) single-family residence, which would have allowed a developer to build a 72-lot subdivision on the property. Its current RA zoning limits the density of development and limits non-farm uses of the land.
