McDONOUGH— Henry County commissioners and officials for the city of Stockbridge battled Tuesday morning over the decision to annex over 160 acres off of Jodeco Road into the Stockbridge city limits.

The property is the site on which Alabama-based real estate firm RCP Companies announced plans early February to develop the property into a large upscale shopping, dining and residential area named Jodeco-Atlanta South. It’s located at the southwest intersection of Jodeco Road and Interstate 75 at Exit 222.
