LaGRANGE — The District 4 Georgia Department of Public Health is asking the public to be aware of counterfeit pills involved in suspect overdoses which may be sold as Xanax or Percocet and contain fentanyl.

Henry, Carroll, Coweta, Spalding and Troup counties have begun experiencing overdoses that may be attributed to counterfeit pills, according to Georgia Department of Public Health officials.
