STOCKBRIDGE — Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church on Monday announced plans to partner with several agencies to develop 65 acres of its property. A portion of that includes plans for a $45 million continuing care community to be developed by Omega Communities on 10 acres of the property at Ga. Highway 42 and Brannan Road.

“We generally partner with large and dynamic churches and organizations,” said Jimmy Taylor, chief operating officer for Omega Communities, a for-profit agency that develops new senior living communities through relationships with sponsoring churches. “It’s not just about the relationship between faith-based organizations like Eagle’s Landing First Baptist and a senior living community, but it’s the overall vision of the Eagle’s Landing team for the span-of-life opportunities that they are bringing to the Stockbridge-McDonough area.”
