This portion of Ga. Highway 20 will be closed as filming takes place on the highway on Sunday and Monday.

HAMPTON – A portion of Ga. Highway 20 will be closed on Sunday and Monday.

Film crews shooting scenes on the highway have prompted a full closure of the road from its intersection with Lower Woolsey Road to Main Street/Old Highway 3 in Hampton during daytime hours on Sunday and Monday.

The roads will be closed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday and Monday. Law enforcement will have the roadway blocked at both intersections.

Signage will be posted in advance of the closures, and a detour will be installed to direct motorists around the closed roadway.

According to the state of Georgia’s website, a total of 40 film projects, whether they are major motion pictures, reality TV shows or TV programs, are ongoing in the state of Georgia.
