Conyers Rockdale Council for the Arts and Storyspire Studios will present “Frederick Douglass! The Lion of Freedom!” written and performed by actor and storyteller Darius Wallace. Performances will be June 21 and 22 at 7:30 p.m. and June 22 and 23 at 3 p.m. at the CRCA Black Box Theater in Olde Town Conyers

“The spirit of Frederick Douglass captures the audience from the moment the lights go up on the stage until you are able to breathe again as the lights go dark,” said CRCA Executive Director Shelli Siebert. “Darius shares this journey from slavery to freedom as if it were his own, full of emotion, thoughtfulness and inspiration. Not only is this a historical story, but it is also still incredibly relevant to our world today.”
