STOCKBRIDGE – Georgia State Sen. Brian Strickland will host a town hall meeting with State Sen. Emanuel Jones on Aug. 13.

Strickland, R-McDonough and Jones, D-Decatur, will hold the meeting at the Merle Manders Conference Center, located at 11 Davis Road in Stockbridge at 7 p.m.

The meeting will center around an update on issues discussed during the 2019 legislative session held earlier this year and will address any questions or concerns from those on hand.

The meeting is free and open to the public.

Strickland and Jones are Henry County’s two representatives in the Georgia State Senate. Strickland serves as a Governor’s Administration Floor Leader. He represents the 17th Senate District, which includes portions of Henry, Rockdale and Newton counties, including the cities of McDonough, Hampton, Locust Grove and a small portion of Stockbridge.

Jones, meanwhile, represents the 10th Senate District, which represents portions of Henry and DeKalb counties, including virtually all of the city of Stockbridge.
