Ghost bike placement Saturday in memory of well-known bicyclist and doctor

HAMPTON — A “Ghost Bike Placement” event will be held Saturday morning in honor of a local doctor, and avid bicyclist, who was struck and killed by a vehicle last week.

The ghost bike placement is set for 9 a.m. on Lower Woolsey Road off Ga. Highway 20, in memory of John Harsch, 59, of Hampton, who was killed while training with the Southern Crescent Cycling club April 6.
