Patience is a golden virtue, an attribute greatly desired and an asset to any personality. It is one of the fruits of the Spirit, named in the Bible in Galatians 5:22.

I remember with a thankful heart the patience of my mother and father and my grandmother. I know, as I grew up, I had to try their patience multiple times, some of which resulted in corrective action. My parents knew nothing of the overused punishment of "time out," which is very popular today.
