The City of Hampton has become a popular destination for film producers, and city officials are looking to reap the benefits of its appeal.

The six-member city council unanimously approved a measure to amend its Ordinance No. 369 during a special-called meeting Tuesday. The amendment requires that parties taking or making any motion pictures, television production or photographic production must obtain a permit from the city.
