Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has been awarded $4.36 million in federal funding for an airfield reconstruction project, according to Al Snedeker, Capital Improvement Program public relations manager at the airport.

Snedeker said the airport was advised it was a recipient of the federal funding on April 14, through the Rehabilitate Taxiway Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
