MCDONOUGH – With schools currently closed as a part of the Henry County Schools response to the COVID-19 health concern, there are still lessons being taught by district personnel. Recently, students had the chance to experience lessons about caring and compassion for community members.

With medical facilities facing dire shortages of needed supplies to safely treat patients, state director of Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education Dr. Barbara Wall sent out a call to school district CTAE leaders looking for any extra inventory health care science programs could spare. Henry County Schools CTAE Coordinator Dr. Beverly Holyfield jumped into action by reaching out to her health care science lead teacher, Sandra Martin, for feedback on what the various school programs could provide.
