Henry Commissioner Vivian Thomas creates new student government initiative

McDONOUGH — Henry County District IV Commissioner Vivian Thomas created the Government and Me Engaged On Initiative, a program aimed to engage Henry County youth in civic involvement and political awareness.

G.A.M.E. On will teach high school students civic education and will explain the role that local government plays in a community. Students who participate will conduct leadership and development training programs, meet local and state government officials, visit the state capitol during the legislative session, complete community projects and more.
