McDONOUGH – Henry County’s proposed fiscal year 2020 budget is projected to be slightly less than the 2019 budget, largely owing to a bleak forecast on sales tax and ad valorem tax revenues.

The county has projected a 25% decrease, as a “worst-case scenario,” for sales tax revenues for the coming fiscal year, which runs from July 1 to June 30 each year. The information was revealed at a budget hearing on Tuesday morning.
