Henry County extends judicial emergency order; online court documents are back

Henry County Courthouse

McDONOUGH—Henry County Superior Court Chief Judge Brian J. Amero has extended the county’s judicial emergency to April 30 at 11:59 p.m.

Court operations have been suspended and calendars continued. Parties will be notified with new court dates after the judicial emergency is lifted.

In a bright spot for the courts, online records searches have been restored after a cyberattack last year that rendered many county websites useless for months. A "management system overhaul" now gives the public "a quick and convenient way to access records and conduct land and background searches," according to a press release.

Some examples include land and real estate records as far back as 1822, business background searches for new hires, and case management dockets for attorneys.
