Teen charged in Locust Grove High drug incident

Henry County Sheriff's Office

McDONOUGH — A Henry County Sheriff’s Department van transporting prisoners to court was sideswiped Friday morning on Ga. Highway 155. No one was seriously injured, said Sheriff Keith McBrayer.

“It was a very minor accident,” McBrayer said. “One of our vans was transporting prisoners to court when a lady sideswiped it. There was very minor damage. We transported the inmates in another car.”

A reader who contacted the Herald said a coroner’s vehicle was on site and was concerned that someone had died. As it turned out, according to the Henry County Police Department, one of the coroners had been passing by on his way to work and stopped to help. McBrayer confirmed there were no fatalities at the scene.
