McDONOUGH — Bradley and Jackson Parks of McDonough want children battling cancer to know that they care.

Most recently the fraternal twin brothers raised more than $2,000 in funds to assist families of children who have been diagnosed with cancer. The initiative is led by staff at the McDonough Methodist Academy each September — but the effort, known as Going Gold for Childhood Cancer, remains near and dear to the boys' hearts throughout the year.

Bradley and Jackson Parks, fraternal twins from McDonough, helped family, friends and neighbors with outdoor work as a way to earn donations to help families of children who have been diagnosed with cancer. Together the twins generated more than $2,000 for their school's Going Gold for Childhood Cancer initiative in September.
