HAMPTON U.S. Rep. David Scott (D-Jonesboro) will retain his long-held seat in Congress.

Tuesdays unofficial results in the 13th Congressional District contest show that Scott garnered 60.89 percent of the vote against Republican challenger Shahid Malik. A total of 41,809 ballots were cast.
