McDONOUGH — The first reading for McDonough’s proposed fiscal year 2024 budget was held during the City Council’s workshop on Thursday, June 1. The proposed budget totals $66,633,391 in revenue, an increase of 21% in comparison with the $55,244,863 budget for the current fiscal year.
The proposed General Fund budget totals $26,469,079, including a 25.6% increase in property tax collections and a 17.6% increase in Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) collections.
