Two suspects were in custody Wednesday after allegedly robbing United Bank in Jackson.
Butts County Sheriff Gary Long said the two -- a male and a female -- entered the bank around 3 p.m. He said the female passed a note to a teller indicating both of them had explosives on their bodies and demanding cash.
The pair left the bank on foot and were apprehended a short time later after a foot chase. Officers with the Butts County Sheriff's Office, city of Jackson Police and U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force assisted in the apprehension.
