Decades after Martin Luther King Jr. was murdered, people still search his words for comfort, peace and understanding. How relevant are his words in 2015? Do the generations removed from his comprehend his message or has it become blurred and hazy from the spin of time?

King was killed when I was in elementary school so I grew up in a world where he existed and then suddenly didn’t. He wasn’t history to me, he was current events. As students, we heard time and again that King abhorred violence. Pitting humans against each other would never solve anything, we were told. That’s not what Dr. King preached, we learned.
