Area residents have been invited to a free, family reading event, Saturday, at Target. Stores nationwide will host free reading events that will include activities and giveaways, in honor of childrens author, Dr. Seuss' birthday, March 2.

The events also recognize the National Education Association's (NEAs) Read Across America Program, which encourages all children to celebrate reading.
