MCDONOUGH — A Henry County local is tearing it up in the Special Olympics out in Los Angeles this week.

Jennifer Maddox, an equestrian who spoke with the Henry Herald in June about her trip to the World Games, became the gold medalist in English Equitation Wednesday. She scored 47 points in the event for the victory.
